The Mister and Miss NC Holiday Gingerbread Pageant was created as a way to raise funds for area charities that support the wellbeing of all children. With our pageant, we promote academia, talent and community service. The purpose of our pageant is to help our entrants build self-esteem without feeling pressured as in most high-end pageants. All entrants have exposure to multiple talent managment and agencies present throughout NC for the possibility of being discovered as a model or actor/actress.

 

For the 2014 pageant, we will be raising funds for Kidsville News and the promotion of quality children's education!

 

"Kidsville News! is a fun, family newspaper that promotes education, reading and good character traits in young children in K - 6 grades. It was created in1998 by newspaper publisher Bill Bowman as a local and self-sustaining "Newspaper in Education" program for his community of Fayetteville, N.C..  Kidsville News! is aligned nationally with the Common Core Curriculum Standards and is currently being used by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction for reading assessments and end-of-grade testing. Kidsville News! is recognized nationally as a quality children's publication by the Parents' Choice Foundation and received the National Parents' Choice Award in 2008 and 2012. This year's pageant will be held on November 10, 2013 at 5:30pm at Holiday Inn & Suites, 103 Brook Lane, Spring Lake, NC. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door and includes light appetizers (while quantities last).
